at 9:00 am winter break is over. it was a much needed & relaxing break for ben.
benjamin is plagued with emotions. he napped yesterday afternoon and immediately upon waking up, after emilia crawled into bed with him, he proclaimed he did not want to go back. before bed, again, he quipped he didn’t want to go back.
but let’s be honest. he is ready to go back. he needs to go back. he thrives in the school environment. he loves all that comes with school. he loves to learn. he loves to be around his peers and he loves his teachers.
i love having him home. i do miss him when he’s at school. but i do know it’s the best place for him to be. so does he.
this afternoon when i pick him up, i know he will be tired but i know he will have had a great day. when he lays his head on his pillow tonight i know he will sleep well & be happy that we’ve returned to our normal schedule.
